BMW Motor Company never gets tired in doing enhancements to its four-wheeled baby collections. As a matter of fact, it has made its way again in refreshing its enticing lineup. The 3rd and 5th Series have had their share of BMW’s enhancement procedures and as of the moment, it is the turn of the X6 Series. However, BMW’s X6 Series only gets minor updates which is far evident compared to its brand new counterparts.
To start with, X6 series only gets secondary touch ups in terms of its front fascia, which basically brings out the kidney grille, which is the signature of BMW. LED headlights are now available and can be incorporated over the familiar and conventional Xenon units. The BMW’s twin headlights are also found boasting in front of the X6 Series. The fog lights also come with the X6 Series and it is finished in matte surrounds. Taillights of this unit have also received LED treatment; they are being housed in bigger enclosures that are stretched on the car’s edges.
There are nine colors for everyone to choose from when it comes to the car’s exterior colors. A nineteen-incher alloy wheel is added to enhance the mix and it serves as the standard equipment of the xDrive 50i. Since there is nothing much that have been changed and altered in the car cabin, buyers can have the option to add their desired upholsteries.
In addition, a 3-seat bench can also be availed as one of the options.
Before, the 2013 X6 Series comes available with the tried and tested 300 horsepower and a 3.0 liters double turbo charged inline 6 along with BMW’s 400-horse power and 4.4 liters double turbo charged V8. Check the M Performance, an optional package and you will be surprised to know that the 3.0 liter unit can be leveled up to 315 horse power and 330 pound feet. In the same manner, the 4.4 liter unit is increased from 400 to 440 horse power and 480 pound feet.
As of today, BMW declared that the company has sold more than 150 thousand units from the time of its launching some 3 years ago. It is reported that over 20 thousand of these units are running in the streets of the United States. This isn’t a bad news for a polarizing car and you will be expecting to see more of the BMW’s X6 this coming spring.
